Dear Sister Kristina,

So you're finally where you've wanted to be for soooo long and I hope you are soaking it all in (even the hard stuff). I watched as you entered yesterday and it was such a beautiful sight. I knew you were in good hands and in a wonderful place! I can't wait to hear how it's going, who you're meeting, etc.

I shared on Facebook and Instagram (and yes, I even managed to tag you on Facebook...you'd be so proud of me) the picture of you walking away and turning back to share such a beautiful smile with me as you started your journey. Your smile and the light that's around you is infectious...share it with everyone, especially those who might be struggling even in the MTC.

So many of your friends have seen my post, so I want you to know how loved you are. Bro. Viehweg said "She'll be a wonderful missionary!! I seriously LOVE your daughter. Maybe she's already seen my Elder Viehweg somewhere around that great place. (Love the luggage decor by the way.)

I picked up Roxy and Eddy this morning and told them where you were and they said they'd wait for you. :)  They were crazy as ever, but at least nice and clean. haha

The weather is beautiful here, not like that crazy Utah. Everything looks so green and fresh and the flowers are all looking towards the Sun for their growth and nourishment. Always remember that you need to do the same thing, look towards the Son for your growth and nourishment. I love the saying, "Bloom where you are planted" It may feel so foreign to you there in the MTC, but I know you'll find a way to "bloom".

Have a wonderful day and remember you're always in my heart and prayers. I know that Heavenly Father hears my prayers. It's a knowledge I have gained throughout my life and it gives me great peace to know He is there.

Road to MTC

Dear Sister Kristina!!! I miss you already but can't wait to hear all about your first couple days in the awesome MTC. You have been prepared your whole life for this and I knew for quite some time that you would be serving a mission, but I didn't know the timing. Only Heavenly Father knew that and He certainly let you know in a wonderful way. Always remember that.

We are getting ready to leave. You are outside looking at the house, waiting for the mail but I knew I had to have a little something there for you to read from me.

Say hi to your companion for me, take care of her, love her and learn together. Soak up all the spirit you can while you are there so you can take it with you as oil in your lamp. Journal a lot because I think it will help you when you're out in the field.

I love you more than you know. My heart is so full and I know Heavenly Father will listen to my prayers for you as you serve Him. We will be well here and just remember how many people in our family will always be praying for you.
